2011 MTV Video Music Awards: guide

Here are the performers, presenters and nominees at the 2011 VMAs, live on MTV on Monday.

Australian viewers can catch the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards live tomorrow from 10am AEST on MTV.

Lady Gaga will open the show, which has no single host. Kanye West received the most number of nominations at eleven, followed by Katy Perry at ten and Adele at seven.

Performers include Adele, Tony Bennett (tribute to Amy Winehouse), Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Jessie J, Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Pitbull (featuring Ne-Yo and Nayer), Young the Giant, and a tribute to Britney Spears.

Presenters include Jack Black, Drake, Will Ferrell, Selena Gomez, Kevin Hart, Jonah Hill, Joe Jonas, Victoria Justice, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Lautner, Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto and Nicki Minaj.

  1. I dont understand why MTV get performers such as lil Wayne to perform given that most of the performance was censored

    Also why is Katy perry wearing the commonwealth bank logo on her head

  2. Rediculous that it is not offered in HD on MTV Live HD. Either MTV needs to simulcast its live HD programming on MTV Live HD, or MTV need to launch a HD simulcast as the amount of HD programming it offers is going to waste!

  3. Wow – the only two nominees I care for at all are the Beastie Boys and Manchester Orchestra! The rest should all be given a bagged dog-turd in recognition for their contributions to music.
