Did Mel B really slam her fellow judges?

We're gettin' a little carried away here, people...

Did Mel B really diss her fellow X Factor judges?

Yes and no.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte today told Kyle and Jackie O that her fellow judge might deserve a slap if she was being serious.

And this is about the sum total of the dig.

Mel B did make the remarks, but it is included in the edit of the show that airs tonight, as a narrative piece to camera. It’s about as vicious as MasterChef‘s Gary or George having a go at Matt.

By the looks of things Melanie Brown is adopting the “tough love” role on the panel, with some digs at contestants and colleagues. But it’s hardly slamming them.

Today the Daily Telegraph even goes as far as to say she made the remarks to them:

“I don’t care much for the other judges,” she told Confidential. “Ronan thinks he knows it all (and) Natalie is just too nice – and really dishonest.

“Guy could just be boring, like ‘get on with it. Keep it moving, brother’.”

The words are right, but sorry Mr. Sub Editor, she didn’t give them to Confidential. And she didn’t give them to any Press after the show.

  1. Show is biggest rubbish I have ever watched. What about the real talent?
Ashleigh Watson performed in Melbourne audition, very hot, received votes
from all four judges. Am still looking to see her . Or was she not crude enough?

  2. Got to agree with the commenters on Luke Jacobz and the selection of edits.

They promoted some kid called Sophie the night before, you endured the show to see her, she sings 2 lines of the song and they cut away to the critique, but they show the entire pre to post performance of the crap ones? cheap grab for sure!

  3. Big publicity stunt I’d guess. There’s more talent on The Voice anyway, I’m not sure the contestants they’ve chosen on x factor are enough to maintain an audience.

  4. Can I just ask who the hell edits this show? The number of cutaways over the top of auditions to audience members/Luke/judges/family looking suitably shocked/amazed/saddened/disappointed/angry is over the top. And unless they have, like, 3547 cameras in the auditorium you know those reactions are nearly always fake.

  5. I liked the original judging panel with Kyle and Natalie Imbruglia.

It will be interesting to see if this panel has the same chemistry. Not super sold on Natalie Bassingthwaite. Never seen Mel B before so can’t comment on what she’s like til the show airs

  6. Here’s my suggestion. Elevate your standards and cease watching this and other similar trash which passes for entertainment on Seven and Nein.

It is really quite easy to do.
