Two, make that four, of the biggest names in the biz are uniting for a new US series, Under the Dome.
Showtime, Stephen King, Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks TV will develop a series based on King’s bestselling novel, of the same name.
DreamWorks TV optioned the book about a Maine town mysteriously trapped under a dome that cuts it off from the outside world, soon after its 2009 publication.
Dreamworks’ other upcoming projects include FOX’s Terra Nova, debuting next month, and Falling Skies is currently airing in Australia on FOX8.
It also produced The Pacific and United States of Tara.

I read this book, it was okay, not great. Can’t see how they can make it into multiple seasons.
It’s an intriguing concept and, if done well, should make for a gripping series.
It would be great if the show wasn’t gore and horror but instead was mystery and suspense. I’m hoping the latter is the case as it is from Spielberg’s production company, but as it’s based on a Stephen King novel the cheap horror element is always a possibility.
One of the better of King’s recent books. The ending might annoy some people though.
Has TEN given any indication it will be fast tracking Terra Nova? I wish they would just pass it on to Fox8 an be done with it.
The Simpsons Movie was release in 2007!…
After Homer accidentally pollutes the town’s water supply, Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the EPA and the Simpsons family are declared fugitives.
