Trump Tower drama

Donald Trump is said to be creating a TV drama based on the rich and eccentric who have stayed at his lavish Trump Tower.

Perhaps we take this one with a grain of salt, but Donald Trump is “creating” a TV drama based on the rich and eccentric New Yorkers who live in his prized property, Trump Tower.

The New York Post says the show will be fictitious, but inspired by the big names that have stayed at 68-story building, including Steven Spielberg, arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, screen legend Sophia Loren, TV host Johnny Carson, Michael Jackson and tennis superstar Martina Navratilova. So it’s a new age Dynasty then?

As to what role Trump is taking in creating this, as opposed to simply hiring writers and producers, remains to be seen.

“Several major network and cable channel executives have already called, and a battle has begun to see where it will air,” said Michael Cohen, Trump’s special counsel. Spin, spin, spin…

Let’s see… Towering Inferno scene for the Season One cliffhanger then?

  1. “Several major network and cable channel executives have already called, and a battle has begun to see where it will air.”
They called and said “Please, for the love of God, don’t make this”. The battle is Trump trying to find a network gullible or desperate enough to show it.

Episode 1: Trump finds Gary Coleman in his hair after Coleman can no longer afford the rent on his apartment.

Episode 2: There’s this guy, let’s call him Jerry, and he has this crazy neighbour who keeps coming into his apartment without knocking; and he eats food from his fridge, borrows his clothes, uses his deodorant, and crazy stuff like that.

Episode 3: The owner of the tower is trying to write a sit-com but keeps getting interrupted by famous people dropping in at his mansion-like penthouse.

Episode 4: The country is broken and the apartment residents ask the tower owner to save them all from certain doom and run for president. He’s winning all the polls but pulls out at the last minute because God has a bigger plan for him.

Season Finale (credit D. Knox): Fire in the lobby which threatens to engulf the whole building until a big bag of wind blows it out with a lot hot air.
