US Fall Season premiere calendar

Here is when the big network shows in the US will have their Fall season premieres.

It won’t be long until the US Fall season is upon us, which means Aussie networks have more options to bring us fresh episodes of favourite shows.

But remember there is always a downside to fast-tracking, including our non-ratings season from December plus pre-empting in the US when there are other events taking precedence.

But here is when the big network shows will have season premieres, with thanks to the Hollywood Reporter.

  1. I’ll be interested to see what network Sarah Michelle Gellar’s ‘Ringer’ ends up on…
Something tells me it’ll end up on Nine and subsequently GO!… But it really suits Channel 10 a lot more. It could very well work on a Tuesday night with NCIS/NCIS LA… Tuesday 7:30pm- Ringer.

  2. so from what i can see 10 has 16 shows returning with new eps, they need these new eps badly!
Next yr they need to extend seasons like bondi vet, bondi rescue, offspring and a few others.

  3. I think you might have missed some: Dexter Season 6 on 3rd October, Walking Dead Season 2 on 17 October and Board Walk Empire on 26th September 🙂 Looking forward to these 3 very much 🙂

  4. Thank you David. 🙂

Is there a list on where the new shows or even the old shows (different rights and channel swaps ) will end up on Australian TV channels or Networks if known? I’ll admit I’m mainly interested in the new shows and where they’ll be.

  5. When will 11 air new simpsons
When will 7 air amazing race
    When will 9 air survior
The other shows not excite me or I watch online because the networks put on too much ads.

  6. Early days but little news on fast tracking to date. With so many alternative ‘options’ available to watch these shows (and some excellent quality to boot) you have to wonder where the future lies for TV.

  7. Looking at the website for Prime Suspect doesn’t give me a lot of confidence. And the silly hat? Described as a “re-imagining” of the UK original. Can anyone ever compete with Helen Mirren’s Jane Tennyson?

  8. I wish Eleven had the rights to Family Guy & American Dad, then I’d have almost no reason to watch 7Mate – which is now littered with these cheap doco shows that seem to be all the rage right now.

Of the rest of the list, I am interested in the transitions of both Glee and The Office as long serving cast members leave and whether these shows will continue to be as good.

I’m also hoping that Nine will give Kitchen Nightmares a static timeslot instead of moving it about.

How far behind are Eleven with The Office now?

  9. I’ve started to notice that apart from Downton Abbey and perhaps NCIS… most imported shows don’t do that well anymore. So the question is why do our Networks put so much emphasis on ‘our’ ratings survey calendar?

Don’t see why they can’t fast track U.S shows as they become available and save the big guns like MasterChef, DWTS, AGT, PTTR, The Block, Underbelly for their precious ratings survey, which they currently do anyway..
