Pauline Hanson on Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia?
It’s a done deal according to a media report today.
The former independent politician, who was a surprising success on the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars in 2004, is tipped to be joined by an AFL football star, a celebrity chef, a competitor from The Block and a celebrity glamour girl according to the Daily Telegraph.
According to a Nine News report yesterday, Hanson indicated she would be making (yet another) pitch at a role in Federal Parliament.
Also on the rumour list are pop star Peter Andre and former medico Geoffrey Edelsten (Brynne Edelsten is said to have declined, dammit).
Meanwhile Kerri-Anne Kennerley recently told TV Tonight she didn’t expect to have enough time to commit to the show with her schedule, if she was asked. Dammit, again.
There are even whispers that there could also be a face with ties to the underworld.
FremantleMedia Australia is producing the series with finance guru Mark Bouris returning to the chair as the boss. There are hopes to lure Donald Trump into a guest appearance during his Aussie visit next month.
Will 2009 Apprentice champ Morello also make an appearance, please?

What about some Hey Dad actors? See if they rip each others thoats out? We haven’t seen Sarah Monahan since last year, might be fun to see if she spills more dish on the show!
at least she is a known celebrity…i hope it wont be full of D-List celebs
mick gatto maybe? i’d love to see mick go nuts like meatlof did in the us one
Oh, @Moanique …
I can’t believe the support for Pauline Hanson. How many racists are there here?
I would be happy to watch it if she were on it.
I love Pauline Hanson, one of the nicest people i’ve met. Go get em Pauline
Roberta Williams?
Ugh, D-list. They’re celebrities in the same manner that the people on Dancing With the Stars are stars. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “celebrity glamour girl” is Kim Duthie.
c-a-r c-r-a-s-h T-V …
Damn. I might watch this hot mess now.
Mark Latham was on Paul Murray Live on Monday night and said he had been approached too. He declined (unfortunately). Hanson v Latham would have been interesting viewing.
It’s a shame Brynne said no, she is great, some great names for this type of show when I heard this show was being made I didn’t think Australia had enough crazy celebs to fill the palette but they seem to be finding them, Peter Andre isn’t someone I would have thought of but is a good idea.
@ Craig… u may not want to watch it but there will be lots of ppl who will watch it!.. its your loss mate
@James, no, I would like to though but I was referring to my celebrity suggestions when this news first broke also on this blog. I also did suggest Brynne and KAK!
u work @ nine chk chk??
The AFL football star will probably be loudmouth Jason Akermanis.
yay, Pauline Hanson on Celebrity Apprentice was my idea! Maybe take Judith Lucy in place of Brynne??
Yet another reason not with watch Nine, can’t stand most reality shows and now this! Only thing worse is if Warnie was on the show LOL
Genius. I would watch the show just for her. Trainwreck.
I was wondering how the idea of this show could get worse. Are people really that interested in seeing more of Hanson (or some those other fourth rate ‘celebrities’)? Shudder.
Pauline will be perfect. Peter Andre?
How about Rowena Wallace. Her & Pauline together would be tv magic.
