Seven Melbourne screens the annual AFL Grand Final Parade next week.

AFL fans in Melbourne can catch the annual AFL Grand Final Parade down St Kilda Rd and Swanston St. on Friday, September 30.

It will be hosted by Sandy Roberts and Rebecca Maddern, together with former Geelong captain and football commentator Tom Harley.

Seven Melbourne’s Director of News, Steve Carey, said: “Seven News has a track record of covering big “live” events such as The Cadel Evans Welcome Home, Moomba and Melbourne Cup Parades. The AFL Grand Final Parade will be no different – allowing Seven News viewers to get up close and personal to the game’s champions.”

Coverage will begin live at midday following the 11.30am news bulletin.

NB: Other states to be advised.

  1. Why is this only on Seven in melbourne, this is the AFL grand final perade not the VFL parade. This should be shown nationaly. I remember when Fox had the rights to this in the last contract. At least people in other states could see it.

  2. Suggesting the Cadel Evans welcome home parade was covered well by Seven is rather optimistic. It was terribly covered and If I were Sandy I’d be embarassed to have been a part of it.

Otherwise they have covered the Grand Final parade in the past and done a reasonably good job.

  3. 7 Melbourne do a great job at covering local event throught Victoria..
