This week Sunday Night features guest reporter Tony Squires looking at Aussies, male and female, competing in the ‘cheerleading Olympics’ and Matt Wright whose Outback Wrangler show which just started on Nat Geo is set to air in the US.

The child killer

The Cheerleading Olympics features 8000 athletes and 380 teams from 25 countries– including the minnows from Down Under, dubbed The Starlets, who battle injury and tragedy in their pursuit of cheerleading glory.

The Outback Wrangler
Some people search for adventure, others are born into it. Chopper pilot and dangerous animal wrangler Matthew Wright has spent his life in the great outdoors, drawn to the creatures that most people dread. Discovered by Sunday Night in one of our very first shows, Matt’s motto is “any animal, anywhere, anytime”. And now the ‘Outback Wrangler’ is going global. Guest reporter Samantha Armytage, from Seven News and Weekend Sunrise, catches up with Matt just before the launch of his new TV show which is airing in the US and 90 countries around the world.

There are some “sports” which should not be classified as sports and cheerleading is one of them, Its a sidekick to a sport at best, the fact that they aparently work in some gymnastics and acrobatics into it to give it more credibility just goes to show how hollow this “sport” is. I will never ever support it even if the female participants are good looking oh and they have to be because what they are doing is not reall sport. As for the first story about THe CHild Killer, i really think that people need to get evidence before sentencing anyone to jail, although surely their must have been, considering he was locked up. Something does not add up.

  3. ‘ the cheerleading olympics ‘ mmmm don’t want to comment too much until I am aware of the age of the participants, hope they are all 20 plus as then it will be appropriate to watch and drool
