The Footy Show (AFL) will be playing excerpts from The Final Story, a doco series which will relive four of the most memorable Grand Finals in Australian Rules history when it plays this Sunday at 12pm* looking at the 1971 Grand Final.

Documentaries of the 1981, 1991 and 2001 Grand Finals will screen on September 11, 18 and 25 respectively.

After defeating North Melbourne last week, the Saints have secured a finals spot for season 2011. Tonight their superstar midfielder Nick Dal Santo heads up the panel. Joining him is Richmond’s Coleman Medallist Jack Riewoldt and Footy Show favourite Billy Brownless.

We preview an amazing series of AFL documentaries that highlight four of the most memorable grand finals in Australian Rules history. The Final Story features never-before-seen footage and interviews that make it must-see viewing for all footy fans. This week looks at the 1971 St Kilda v Hawthorn bloodbath.
