2011 Walkley Awards: nominees

Four Corners, Hungry Beast, Sunday Night, TEN News, Dateline and Foreign Correspondent are amongst this year's Walkley Award nominees.

All five Free to Air broadcasters have been acknowledged in the 2011 Walkley Awards.

Amongst the journalism nominees are Four Corners expose on live cattle exports to Indonesia, Hamish MacDonald’s coverage of the Japanese disaster, a Hungry Beast story on disabilities, Sunday Night‘s interview with Ricky Nixon, plus Dateline, TEN News, The 7:30 Report, ABC News, Foreign Correspondent, and Go Back to Where You Came From. 60 Minutes was also commended.

ABC’s Paul Lockyer, John Bean and Gary Ticehurst are also nominated with colleague Ges D’Souza.

  2. What? I can’t believe Liam Bartlett’s ‘interview’ with Joan Collins on 60 minutes wasn’t nominated for excellence in journalism! Good luck to the worthy nominees.
