CNN presenter Anna Coren will appear at the Melbourne Festival on Monday night when she moderates a live panel discussion tackling issues around modern day slavery and exploitation.
The CNN Freedom Project will feature prominent figures from the fields of politics, business and the law and will be followed by a screening of Nepal’s Stolen Children: A CNN Freedom Project Documentary, featuring actress and anti-sex trafficking activist Demi Moore.
“We are delighted that the CNN Freedom Project is partnering with the prestigious Melbourne Festival in what promises to be a compelling discussion. CNN has sought to raise global awareness around the shocking trade in human life and this event will allow for candid and timely debate on an issue that Australia faces, in common with every country around the world,” says Vice President and Managing Editor of CNN International Asia Pacific, Ellana Lee.
The free event takes place 6pm Monday Oct 17 at the ANZ Pavilion, Arts Centre.

Lol @ deedeedragons- she does too!
Complete with awkward segues, no doubt.
I wonder what kind of modern day slavery she will be talking about?
Will it be about how 99% of us are enslaved by the super rich 1%?
Um… She kind of has a Joker smile going on there.
