Producers of At Home with Julia, Quail TV, have been holding talks with UK broadcasters about a series centred around PM David Cameron.
But no deal has yet been done.
In The Independent producer Rick Kalowski says Quail TV would work with producers and satirical writers in Britain familiar with Downing Street life.
Currently attending MIPCOM in Cannes, Kalowski tells TV Tonight, “There is discussion ongoing in the UK but certainly no confirmed show.
“I was asked about how the show would work in the UK and gave that answer. It’s also not the case that the show has not been renewed in Australia. Discussions are ongoing there, too.
“But I can say there is a lot of interest in the show here in Cannes, which is great.”
If a UK version eventuates it would be the first of its kind to be based around an incumbent PM.

At Home with David Cameron. I wonder what he would be doing if he were at home. Probably nothing. Maybe thinking how to cut more funding and raise more taxes. Could be hilarious, who knows.
Yeah sure why not.

The Trial of Tony Blair was shown not long before Blair stood down as Prime Minister.
I would be amazed if that gets made
