Brummer assault case adjourned until March

A post-Logies assault charge involving actor Dieter Brummer will now return to court next March.

Actor Dieter Brummer appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning over assault charges that resulted after a scuffle with security staff at Logie Awards celebrations at Crown Casino in May.

Brummer, 35, who most recently appeared in Neighbours and Underbelly, is charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, being drunk in a public place and behaving in a riotous manner.

The case was adjourned until next year.

Magistrate Gregory McNamara extended his bail until the scheduled appearance on March 23.
