Chord Overstreet confirmed for Glee return

As rumoured, former Glee cast member Chord Overstreet will return for a multi-episode arc.

As rumoured, former Glee cast member Chord Overstreet will return to the musical series (that was fast) for a multi-episode arc.

When Overstreet was downgraded he opted not to renew his contract, which led to several conflicting stories. He has since appeared as a guest on The Middle.

That exit also left a cliffhanger moment dating Mercedes completely up in the air.

But a statement from Ryan Murphy says, “We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back.

“So here’s an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”

“I had the best time on Glee and couldn’t be more excited to be returning,” Overstreet added.

Of course with the ratings season ending on November 26 it may be a lot longer until Australian viewers get to see trouty mouth back on the box.

Just sayin’…

  1. Glee always wraps mid/late December with a Xmas episode Ten would be foolish to hold onto the 2-3 eps that will air in non ratings and risk returning the program to lower numbers next year with 3 month old episodes like they did this year! Just run them through till the Xmas ep and then bring it back fresh next year!

    And glad sam is returning!

  2. Yay!! I’m glad he’s coming back, its been weird how Glee spent lots of season two developing characters like Sam and Lauren only to give them the boot this season.

Season three has been rather average so far apart from the brilliant “Asian F”. Here’s hoping it gets better. I expect it will, with Glee Project winners Damian and Samuel making their appearances very soon
