Guy Sebastian looked very sheepish when cameras appeared to catch him on the phone while an X Factor contestant was singing.

Please tell me Guy Sebastian wasn’t on the phone last night while X Factor contestant Christina Parie was singing?

Parie began her number in the audience before making her way down to the stage. When she stepped onto the rear of the the judge’s platforms Sebastian looked like he was on his phone and looked very sheepish has he suddenly dropped it from his ear to pay attention to Parie.

I really hope he was listening to her vocals through an earpiece, but then he didn’t seem to be for any other acts, nor did any of the other judges.

Meanwhile, Sebastian’s comments about contestant Mitchell Calaway being rude to a crew member during rehearsal also drew a lot of criticism on Twitter last night.

“You’ve got to have the right attitude to this competition, you’ve got to be focused and to be honest, not be rude to people and have the work ethic,” he said.

“For you to not learn your lyrics and for you to at times be rude to crew, you really have to pull that in and rein that in because you won’t last long in this competition or this industry if you do that.”

Should he have stuck to the on-stage performance and left the politics for off-camera?

If Callaway is eliminated tonight, expect a reaction…

  3. He wasn’t even being mean to the crew, appreanlty him and a couple of other guys were playing around and pricked him with a pin. then declan said f*** you to him and got angry at him then he ran off to Guy

  5. Guy has been caught twittering as well when Luke crossed to him in the early shows. Have some respect Guy. Im sure you can stay off your phone for 3 minutes.

    As to what he said to Mictchell. Thta wasnt bullying. Its called telling someone who wants to make it into the singing world to work harder and show respect. Mitchell doesnt need to be rude to the crew and two days before he goes on live Tv he should know the lyrics. He should be told.

  7. The fuss over what Guy said to Mitchell is ridiculous. It was really very mild. But people love to hate Guy. And I bet we eventually hear that there was a good reason for it.

    I remember when Kyle said a few things last year, most people erred on the side of ‘Kyle was just telling it like it is.’

  8. i so far have been enjoying the show. i especially find Mel B hot, and i like her honesty, its a pitty the audience dont agree even when Mel is making sense they still boo i dont know whether they have encouraged them to boo for tv reasons (probably so) or whether they are booing because they think that Mel B doesnt know what she is taking about, which is total crap. Also on Guy’s apparent phone/earpeice problems, know days phones are quite large so if he did have a phone it would have been noticed. So i think it was more of a earpeice trouble, as for those comments about Mitchell Calaway i think they were justified providing thats what actually happend. these contestants are just that contestants they have not earned the right to be rude and disrespectful to the crew, not to mention forget the lyrics which is un profesional. I agree with Guy, very good observation.

  9. @MuchoTB I could not agree with you more about YMS. The clothing was truly juvenile. The stylists this year are leaving me dumbfounded. Why are the girls wearing what amounts to a one piece bathing suit? Is it to draw attention away from the singing?
    I fee Guy’s comments to Mitchell on camera last night were inappropriate and appeared to be a sneaky way of influencing public opinion. If he was sincere he would have approached him man to man in private and set him straight about any bad behaviour.

  11. The sooner Mitchell gets the boot the better, he was by far the weakest of Natalie’s top 6 people in the Over 25s and I’m surprised he got through in the first place

    He always looks lost and nervous when he’s onstage.

    The bottom two tonight IMO will be between Mitchell, Three Wishez, Declan and Jacqui. Andrew could also be there, though.

    I also reckon YMS are overrated – their first two performances were great but last night was rubbish – and they got so much praise from the judges. They looked like teletubbies!!

  12. I didn’t think it was the right place to bring up Mitchell being rude to a crew member/s. We didn’t see it so its hard to say what happened or what is seeing a being rude.
