Good to hear that Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation -with host Shaun Micallef- will indeed return for 2012.
The Herald Sun reports Lachlan Murdoch confirmed the show’s return next year.
The popular panel show was not on the list of shows at TEN’s 2012 Programming Launch amid speculation Shaun Micallef was keen to pursue other projects.
A TEN spokesperson later confirmed that Micallef as well as team captains Amanda Keller, Charlie Pickering and Josh Thomas will be on board.
“Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation will be back in 2012 with all cast returning,” the spokesperson said.
Hurrah!

Well this is good news. Good Decision 10!
This is good news. I wonder how many episodes it will get and if they will be put in a positive time slot.
@DAZ apart from HHIS being on a different network than TBYG, i would think TBYG would be more targeted towards the demographics that TEN and its advertisers are after. I would imagine and could be wrong the HHIS would skew more towards the older demographic.
Great news that Shaun, Amanda and Charlie are returning…..
Great News!!!
Next yr Ten need to do what they did with house last yr. Remember when they said how many new eps were gonna be in a row and they kept them there? keep them in the same day and same slot! All the moving around of shows this yr by ten has been the most annoying thing! They need to look at when a show will be able to stay in the same slot. Talkin bout your get should be 7.30 tuesdays then new ncis, next yr 7pm project should move to 6-7pm and have masterchef and biggest loser back to 7pm starts so all shows can go back to 7.30 starts instead of 8 and 8.30.
Yay!
@Daz – you do realise that HHiS is a Nine show?
The constant day and timeslot changes and too many repeats of this show have made me lose complete interest in it. Same with 10’s horrendous treatment and disrespect to Glee and Modern Family. I just don’t care anymore.

Hey Hey has had its day, twice. Move on. It was fun while it lasted.
The Renovators? What is that?
TBYG is a great show, just need to replace Charlie & have a personality on it.
Yay!!
now please return to Tuesdays at 7.30 where it rated it’s pants off.
This is excellent news!
But I defo agree with the other comments, please limit the dress-up ‘special’ episodes and keep the timeslot consistent!
It was TENS best rating program of 2011
Gee you know your network is not going well when the CEO announces the return of a medium rating program. But this is good news. It’s about the only show that interests me for 2012. Give all the others I’m interested in have been axed. Now ten give Shaun another show and build the network with him.
that’s a shame. would have rather seen shaun do something else.
Of course, little Lachy previously announced that “6.30” would continue in 2012… and that show gets jettisoned tomorrow night.
Not quite. They said George and the 6:30 team would return. But they never mentioned the show itself. They did say The Renovators would return, but recently said a decision would be made soon….
Has to be on at 7.30 Sundays and stay there. It’s the only decent time slot for it.
Channel 10… please choose a single time slot for it, and stick to it! And can we please limit the “dress up” shows to one or two a season this time? 🙂
the best original australian show is back
yay
Quite acceptable. Who am I kidding? Woooooooooooo!
The best show of all time with that title!
Excellent news.
Brilliant!
This is fantastic news. Would not have been happy without the show returning.
Now all Channel 10 needs to do is turn Good News World back to Good News Week and let those guys shine I their original formula to give me my faith back in the network.
Shaun is certainly happy about the news! In a year that’s seen the demise of some of my favourite shows such as Rescue,Spicks and Specks & Collectors thank goodness one of them is coming back.
Oh and Woohoo!!
They return this and not Hey Hey? Channel 10 have a love affair with low rating shows.
I missed it this year, along with a lot of other shows, because my TV went kerfutz (and the Ten website is a bit rubbish), so I look forward to seeing it in 2012. And catching up on repeats, I expect.
YAY!
Now to return the show to its former ratings glory.
