There’s no Celine Dion or Leo Di Caprio -but did they cast the same actor for the captain?

  1. Regarding the 12-part Miniseries “Blood & Steel” – there won’t be any icebergs or sinking sequences. It’ll souly be based on how it all began for the White Star Line. Unfortunately, the BBC has dropped out for unknown reasons and won’t be airing the 12-part series and they’re still trying to find Global distributors to join the project. Rumor has it that if they don’t find anyone to broadcast it.. the series will be scrapped or automatically put it on DVD. No one seems to be interested due to Julian Fellowes new series of Titanic. So, one wonders what the fate will be..

  2. Uh, that looks like they just recycled the Jim Cameron mega movie, only with a fraction of the budget.

They should have remade Raise the Titanic instead.

  3. Soooo…. Downton Abbey on a boat? I hope it’s more about the inner workings of the class system onboard (akin to Downton) rather than just the overall retelling of just the sinking… I shall be watching!

  4. Every movie I’ve seen about the Titanic has portrayed the captain as a man with a white beard.

    Guess what?

The real captain had a white beard…

    Marvellous research!
