Big Brother: Secrets confirmed

Nine has confirmed Big Brother: Secrets for 2012, tipped by TV Tonight last April.

Last night Nine confirmed Big Brother: Secrets in its network promo for 2012.

As far back as April TV Tonight tipped the “Secrets” format as being the way forward for a Big Brother revival:

“In France it has morphed into Secret Story, a series in which each contestant enters the house with a personal secret. Housemates are compelled to interact with one another to try and discover each secret and win cash prizes. Result: no more flying under the radar.”

Last week TV Tonight also revealed new host Sonia Kruger.

Nine is expected to reveal further details tomorrow.

  1. I hope big brother secrets wont be too boring nor very french one version…. otherwise it will be as boring as last night come back show of its a knock out because last night show on ch10 it was so much edited… it was all prepared and wasnt live and the arena was tiny and the cameras faked it to make the game look big… typical magic camera technic stuff..

But yeah lets hope big brother secrets wont be the show where all your gonna see is chat chat chat seat and chat and boring endless times and nothing els… i would rather see big brother the original show.

oh and be worried… if its only call big brother: secrets (without a number) does this mean the following year in 2013 will not have big brother ? it has to have a number version of this.

around the world we have big brother series (number)
If this big brother show apears non a number then its going to be a much different big brother game show.. which wont be original as previewsly and you wouldnt want to be disapointed if this was to happen.

Will see when it comes. Should the game start last week of the olympic games..

  2. Sheesh….Sonia Kruger hosting something that’s aimed at a younger demographic – it’ll be like someone’s mum hosting the show !!!

Admittedly Gretel is a mum, but she had a great demeanour with people, I just feel like it’ll be an extended green room session with Sonia, who’d be more suited to a lifestyle/home reno show.

What bets it’ll see one series and disappear ? I don’t think we’ll get anything racy or raunchy either.

  3. It would be ok if Nine would let it play to a more moderate audience and not try to get every viewer. The Big brother format plays better to revolving select audiences.
How many people can be dedicated to watch 1 show that hogs so much time?

  4. Sad day for Australia with the announcement that this trash is returning to television to corrupt the minds of young impressional school kids!!! Hoping that it’s rating will be appauling……
