Happy Endings soon

By David Knox on November 10, 2011 / Filed Under Programming 19

Seven will soon begin screening US series Happy Endings, an ABC comedy that revolves around a group of friends, who are rocked when the couple that brought them together breaks up.

The cast includes Zachary Knighton, Elisha Cuthbert and Damon Wayans, Jr.

After the first season of 13 episodes it was renewed for a second season of 22 episodes which began in September.

Forget who gets to keep the ring – when a couple splits, the real question is, who gets to keep the friends? Alex and Dave’s wedding was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, for them and their long-time friends… until Alex leaves groom-to-be Dave at the altar. The breakup, in the words of one pal, is a “huge game changer” that will complicate everyone’s lives and make everyone question their own choices.

Franz you have no idea what you’re talking about. Home & away is the best!

Looks great. If It does well They should put it on for 2012 as a weeknight 7pm Channel 7 offering Anything has got to be better than Home and Away and I do apologize to fans of the Soap but rubbish like that doesn’t cut it when most of your non news opposition are doing sitcoms.

It does look good, but hope it doesn’t get badly treated due to “summer season” and am hoping ofr a decent timeslot. What about weeknights at 7 instead of HIMYM repeats or the 70′s outdated show!

I think I will give this show a go. The previews look pretty funny.

about time this great show is airing in Oz..best new comedy in recent times, it’s up there with always sunny in philly, without the crudeness.

Well Kim’s storyline on 24 got unintentionally funny sometimes (Cougar) so lets see how she goes with a sitcom.

I wanted to like this show but the pilot was so cliched and ridiculous it was a mess. Maybe it got better over time but it came off to me as a poor man’s HIMYM – won’t bother with it again

I see a lot of us have already seen this – myself included – not the greatest – but it does have it’s moments @melmac – I see 7 is already screening series 2 bites as promos :) so heaven knows in what order 7 will screen.

@Jellyman, I predicted after the 9pm premier, it’ll be shoved to the late night slot like so many other comedies, 30 Rock, Parkes and Recreation and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

After seeing the ads & clips for this show, some of the clips weren’t anywhere hilarious, but more looked like seeing a carcrash before it occurs.

During the summer period, we usually get a lot of really bad & unfunny comedies. “Happy Endings” is another example of this!.

I like Happy Endings. It’s quite a good show and very funny. Hope it does well here. Interesting Damon Wayans chose to stay with this show cos I think New Girl is probably funnier but Happy Endings aired first.

It’s weird they have been playing promos from both season 1 and 2.

Funny thing is if they start with season 1 I dont think many people will catch on to this show as like FRIENDS their 1st season is not their best but it really picks up in season 2 and the cast bounce off each other brilliantly.

Max would have to be my favourite he comes out (no pun intended) with some classic lines!

It will be interesting to see what order they play theses eps in. In the US they played them out of production order which meant that somethings didn’t make sense for instance Dave would be adjusting living with his best mate one week but then actually moving in with him in an ep 3 weeks later, very odd. They did this in the states as they deemed some eps stronger than others and wanted to build an audience but character developement wise it was just strange.
Shows not bad, its no modern family but its not awful, some good giggle here and there.

I know it isn’t the best show on TV but this is my biggest guilty pleasure at the moment. Max is hilarious.
