Its a knockout was really really good television for my household. Safe and entertaining for the kids to watch and get them away from the internet! Well done TEN for having the guts to bring it back. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks.
@jaxmachine1007 I agree, would have been better for 4 teams at once (also would have been great if WA & SA & Tassie had teams) but the size of the venue doesn’t help them.
LOL ratings finish, and Ten finds a show that rates. I didn’t think It’s a Knockout would do that well. I refused to watch because Ten somehow think SA & WA aren’t states in this country, but i did flick during an ad break and it looked pretty bad. Why did people call for this to come back?
ARIA Awards rated quite well, and it was a much better ceremony.
That’s the first time in ages Ten have had a 1mill+ viewers.
IAK was great. Great to see a light hearted show on TV again.
It’s A Knockout was fantastic last night – glad I watched, and the first program I have watched on FTA since the AFL GF
I’s a knock out was pretty dam funny last night! Great to have a fun show on sundays now.
I think that is a sucess for It’s a knockout.. will drop by a bit next week but good start.
The only way IAK will sustain those numbers next week is if they have KAK versus AO’K versus the KKK!
@jaxmachine1007
“Channel 10 – always 3rd – 2012 and beyond”
*always 3rd at best
I’m hoping that over summer Ten can be different and gain viewers to launch into 2012, but I doubt it. At least not until they fix up their early evening 2.5 hours of news.
TEN finally had a good night!
@thesportfreaks – i understand your points, wouldnt it be better if it was four teams at once instead of head to head
I’m wondering what people were expecting with IAK. Remember, you’re 25 years older. If you’re 35, your tastes are wildly different to when you were 10.
It’s a family show, and judging by the Twitterati last night… there were a lot of young people saying they thought it was hilarious. They will be the ones in 25 years time asking for another remake.
As for me, compared to old IAK, never going to be the same (this seemed too slick), but still enjoyable.
iPhone readers will need to turn mobile theme Off to read ratings, sorry. Then it works fine. I am unable to address this in the form it is currently supplied to me by OzTAM.
Any news on how Ringer rated?
It’s A Knockout would never be as exciting when you first watched it as a kid / teen. So you have to keep that in mind.
I loved it!
I didn’t see IAK but I suspect it will drop like a lead balloon from next week on. It just has bomb written all over it. I watched 60 Minutes for the first time in ages last night. Kudos to them for the Alisa Camplin story about her newborn who died from congenital heart problems. I was crying by the end of the story, it was searingly emotional and very well handled by the journalist. I swear I felt my heart break at one point, I felt such sorrow for Alisa and her husband. Good reporting without resorting to mawkishness at any point.
Hi David, thanks for tryIng to give us all the numbers, however this post is not displaying properly on iPhone
its a knockout, worst remake ever. Didnt have the same feel of original. Why couldnt all 4 teams compete at the same time and get points for finishing 1 and
2
Channel 10 – always 3rd – 2012 and beyond
Expect a big drop for It’s a Knockout next week. A lot of people would have tuned in out of curiosity / nostalgia. We gave it 20 minutes, but that was dreadful and we couldn’t watch any longer. Friday Night Games were better and they had a much smaller budget. Ten just don’t seem to be able to get it right.
And now we wait to see what IAK rates in week two onwards
It’s a knockout did well!!
Pretty good ratings for the ARIAs and Twilight on the multichannels…horrible start for The Commander on Nine. Terra Nova is holding up the same as last week. Bones and Castle repeats are experiencing summer fatigue
