Stuart Appleby will be defending his title at this year’s JB Were Masters event to be broadcast by Nine from Victoria Golf Club on December 17 and 18.

World No.1 Luke Donald, playing in Australia for the first time, will tee off against an impressive lineup of golfers including fellow Englishman and World No.14 Ian Poulter, who is also making his first appearance at the JBWere Masters. 1. So Nine is actually cutting back on its coverage of JBWere Australian Masters (to give the tournament its full name), with the first two rounds probably to be shown only on Fox Sports. Is it because the first two rounds don’t rate well on weekdays? When Nine first won the rights in 2009 (the year Tiger Woods visited Melbourne and won the Masters) it showed all four days of the tournament, and it did the same last year.
