Bumped: Offspring repeats

TEN pushes Offspring replays out to 11:30pm from today.

TEN’s Offspring replays appear to have underperformed, with the network pushing 9:30pm episodes out to 11:30pm from today.

It will add extra episodes of current 8:30pm shows including The Glades, NCIS: LA and Hawaii Five-0.

  1. Offspring was the only thing ten had other then naighbours but why produce a series when you can milk reality tv for all it’s worth and play back to back repeats of everyone loves Raymond Simpsons or Frasier Oh and as for the crappy 7pm project Hughssssy is horrable to watch That is The most #### show ever.
Turn to nine they got some new Aussie drama on soon or catch the mentalist.

  2. i want offspring back i missed the series at the beginning last time and was enjoying it D…m please follow up on your repeats it is not good enough to cancel it again. !!!!!!!!

  3. Programming haywire at 10/11. Go Girls is being burnt off this week (and the local quota requirements probably explain why)

But no explanation as to programming shenanigans on 11. Anyone care to elaborate about where Buffy and Angel have gone?

  4. “Dramedy” rarely does well on these repeat outings – and Offspring has managed to walk the fine line between drama and comedy, however Nina’s “kookiness” is just this side of annoying. Perhaps too much Offspring is a mistake? Ten need to be very careful not to saturate the market with too much “kooky” Asher. And Asher should walk away after the third series – it’s more than enough.

  5. I’m with Matt here. Offspring repeats were the only thing worth watching. I only started watching the series toward the end of season 1, I was quite enjoying seeing it again and making sense of it. I shouldn’t be surprised by TENs moves anymore. Station first, viewers a distant 2nd. Thank goodness for IQ.

  6. Do people really watch David Letterman? It’s awful, totally mired in the 60s. Welcome host (screams); opening remarks (more screams); banter with a) offscreen announcer, supposed funny ma; b) more banter with really annoying band leader. Audience screaming all the way through it. Special guest (usually someone famous) plus others we’ve never heard off. Lots of screaming still. Then totally unfunny Top 10 crap.

See, I have watched it – occasionally – with total horror at how old hat it is.

PS: If TEN are desperate for late night content, why not repeat The Circle. Now that’s something I would really like to see – minus the 3 minute long commercials of course!

  7. So now that “Offspring” has been bumped back to 10.30pm, this means that Ch 10 will have to postpone the release of the new Kiwi comedy series, “The Almighty Johnsons”.

This is the 3rd kiwi series that have been mistreated by Ch 10 – “Outrageous Fortune”, ” “Go Girls” & now “The Almighty Johnsons”.

  8. Little wonder, I mean the show didn’t do well in its initial airing so what did they expect with repeats? Some people at Ten just seem to have a love affair over this show but reality proves otherwise.

  9. W*nkers.

Finally there was something of worth to watch (as I missed the original airing) on Ten at reasonable time frame and once again it’s gone to the dead zone.

Oh well I’ll just record it and ten can continue to fail in the Ratigs until they have to sell off all the programmes that keep them in business.

  10. Are they going to repeat series 2 also?Only just caught up on series 1 and it would be great if they do series 2 also so we can be ready for series 3 next year!

  11. So many re-runs, yet another down side to the new multi channel land scape we have and fast tracking of so many shows.

At least TEN is showing so new stuff like The Glades, okay not really new but on FTA for the first time. And they are re-running some local shows like Offspring. Why can’t Seven re-run the Rafters or Nine encore the Sea Patrol final season? Or at least put them on the digital channels?
