TV Tonight Awards 2011: voting continues

Who are the new names polling well in the votes so far for the TV Tonight Awards 2011?

The Hamster Wheel, The Slap, At Home with Julia, The Amazing Race Australia, Go Back to Where You Came From, The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, Can of Worms, Deni Hines, Julia Morris, Warwick Capper, Phil Lloyd, Melissa George….

They’re some of the new names polling well in the votes so far for the TV Tonight Awards 2011.

But are they for the Best or the Worst on the box?

And do they have enough votes to topple some of the more-seasoned favourites?

Last year Readers gave nods to Asher Keddie and Chrissie Swan -and both later landed Gold Logie nominations.

There’s one week down in the three weeks of voting for those who distinguished the year.

Meanwhile, just one vote divides the top two issues for the “Story of the Year” and the third and fourth placegetters are in a dead heat.

The new category “Biggest Blunder of the Year” has been a fight between two stuff-ups so far -but now one is pulling away.

And as far as Readers themselves go, there’s a much bigger proportion of males responding than females and New South Wales leads the pack.

You still have two more weeks to have your say.

Voting will close on Friday December 30.

  1. John is absolutely correct!
The Promise had me absolutely enthralled.
Other programs may be excellent (Game Of Thrones, Mildred Pierce, etc), but this was just the very best I’ve seen for years!

  2. Having seen The Promise on SBS over the past 4 weeks, this is without doubt the best international drama on TV this year. If you missed it, then get the DVD when it’s released.
