EXCLUSIVE: Sweetie, sweetie, break out the champas and stick this in your diary…
Absolutely Fabulous returns to Australian screens with two brand-new episodes in February.
They will screen at 8pm Wednesday February 8th and 15th on ABC1.
The three 20th Anniversary Specials, were written by and star Jennifer Saunders, with Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks and June Whitfield all returning. These mark the first full-length episodes filmed by the cast in seven years.
Two of the specials aired in the UK over Christmas / New Year with a third to be screened for the Olympics.
“Identity”
Wednesday, February 8 at 8pm on ABC1
Twenty years after Eddy, Patsy, Saffy, Bubble and Mother first staggered into our lives, they’re all back. One of them has been away for some time, so there is lots of catching up to do. She returns with a new best friend, who is both a blessing and a threat to the household. It forces them closer than ever. It may even involve one of them owning up to her real age.
“Job”
Wednesday February 15 at 8pm on ABC1
Eddy has fewer and fewer clients and her daughter despises her. So far, so normal. Then Eddy and Patsy meet a famous French film star of whom Saffy is a huge fan. Could this bring Edina new found respect? Eddy decides to take her on as a client and excites the media but everything unravels rather quickly.
The third episode in the 20th Anniversary series will air later in 2012.
Saunders has also confirmed a feature film is in the pipeline.

cant wait
love Ab Fab
I loved the first two …. a brilliant and powerful return to form!
The new episodes are a vast improvement on some of the latter ones. Seems during her recent ill health Jennifer rediscovered her mojo.
Also, the ABC should also air the special “Jennifer Saunders – laughing at the 90’s” with much extra and recent material of the J’s
@Marius – I actually preferred job to identity. Or maybe we’d had way too much turkey on Christmas Day? It’s good that the ABC have them and not 7! However…I can’t wait for the Olympics special with the outrageously funny Mo Gaffney.
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
cant wait
Patsy looks great as usual
They are hilarious episodes!!
“identity”, the first ep. is well worth the effort
“job”, not as sharply written, but still clever.
the 5j’s still have it!
