where are the pay TV ratings for Monday? you’ve got them for Tuesday but they’re missing from Monday.

  2. NJK February 1, 2012 at 10:26 am -

I wonder whether the Today show’s ratings have changed since the introduction of the new set. I don’t get the strategy – the red and orange is so intense it makes my eyes bleed. And red is such a stressful colour! Not the kind of thing you want to start the day with. They were doing so well and had just about caught Sunrise, so why go changing things. Now it’s a choice between a hideous set and bearable presenters, or a slightly-less hideous set (but more annoying with idiots constantly waving through the windows in the background) and totally unbearable presenters.

  3. Jacob January 31, 2012 at 6:32 pm -

Wow, go Channel 7! Really enjoyed How I Met Your Mother last night. Can’t wait for next week.

People, you are entitled to your opinion but honestly you are degrading and manipulating the people who enjoy these types of shows with your negative, narcissistic comments. If you don’t like a show for example, Please Marry My Boy, don’t watch it, it is quite simply when you put it into perspective.

  4. Goonies January 31, 2012 at 6:17 pm -

I agree whatever 7 puts on people seem to watch no matter what it is.

@ Luke, I am still watching TBL and completely disagree with your sentiments.

I wish people would stop making absolute statements….it was crap….no, you thought it was crap – there is a difference.

  5. Harry January 31, 2012 at 4:14 pm -

‘Please Marry My Boy’. I cannot believe people have been sucked into this stupid show. I hope the ratings fall for it next week. I stand by my belief in that 7 can televise grass growing and it would rate.

I agree with whoever said NCIS LA should never have been moved from behind NCIS. Real stupid move.

  6. Maev....Sydney January 31, 2012 at 4:13 pm -

Good numbers for Seven….despite no tennis….
And people…people…..you can…moan…and complain all you want…because you do not like certain shows…that is your right to have an opinion….but not good to put down people that do enjoy those shows….just because it is not to your taste…
It is obvious from the numbers….just what most people do like and did watch…..:)

  7. Luke January 31, 2012 at 1:49 pm -

While Ten’s news at Five continues to grow, the rest of the network is still struggling.

The Project is getting over exposed and has been moved around so much that now it’s struggling more than ever.

The Biggest Loser is losing audiences because it’s too sentimental and incredibly manipulative and demeaning to the contestants this year. Almost all my friends watch it, and almost all of them have stopped because they don’t want to tune in and watch struggling people cry for an hour. They need to shake up the program and make it more of an inspirational journey instead of a pity party for the contestants.

NCIS:LA should never have moved from behind NCIS. If something is working, don’t try and fix it.

Hawaii5-0 hasn’t found it’s audience in Australia, and it certainly will never find it if they keep moving it around. I believe it’s now been on Sundays at 8:30 and 9:30, Mondays at 9:30, Wednesdays at 9:30 and Fridays at 8:30pm. And the show’s only been on for a little over a year.

Come on Ten, you built a strong Sunday night line up but you can’t form a network around one strong night…

  8. Belinda January 31, 2012 at 1:35 pm -

Why on earth is Eleven getting rid of the comedy specials on Monday?

  9. Allie January 31, 2012 at 1:19 pm -

Nine must be very unhappy with the figures for EB. It was certainly a less than stellar debut given the amount of hype they’ve given it over the last two months. MKR is going to smash it if it keeps getting the above 1M figure it got last night. I think EB may turn out to be The Renovators, v. 2, though it is early days yet. Disappointing that three local series are being pitted against each other as they are going to inevitably cannibalise each others ratings.

  10. Guy January 31, 2012 at 12:08 pm -

Excess Baggage was a waste of time and effort. The same can be said for Please Marry My Boy. I expect both shows to drop over the next week or so.

Good start to Seven though. MKR is a great show and got great figures. Big Bang also did well but thats quite a drop from last week.

TEN is in a heap again. NCIS: LA will be back behind NCIS by the time the ratings start i recon. As for Hawaii Five-0 this show isn’t any good and why TEN keeps persisting with it has me baffled.

  11. David Knox January 31, 2012 at 11:56 am -

There are regular ratings stories posted in News, including today which detail Sunrise / Today figures and Sports Fever. Drill deeper people!

  12. Jake January 31, 2012 at 11:56 am -

Seven had a good night. MKR hasn’t lost ground yet unlike MC last year, and even HIMYM held up well considering it wasn’t on til about 9:45pm. Similar audiences to PMMB I suppose.

Nine would have to be concerned about EB. I gave it ten minutes before I switched, and that was about nine minutes too long.

  13. Billy C January 31, 2012 at 11:50 am -

Excess baggage was from the six or so minutes I lasted footage of people doing pushups. Didn’t seem to be a competitive element to it. The television equivalent of standing outside a gym window. I used to enjoy eating a pizza and watching Biggest Loser but now days I’m well and truly over it.

  14. samo January 31, 2012 at 11:47 am -

i would also love the morning TV ratings – especially when 10 start and ABC breakfast starting to attract viewers…i used to love the sunrise and today battle…

  15. R K January 31, 2012 at 11:45 am -

PMMB is actually better than I expected and sure i be watching next week…another feel good reality TV…
Really like the new series of MKR…Go 7 !!!

  16. Alex January 31, 2012 at 11:33 am -

Please Marry My Boy is cheap and tacky but I loved it.

  17. YH January 31, 2012 at 11:33 am -

Looks like the competition this year will be between Seven and Nine. Apart from their ‘Super Sunday’, Channel Ten are really lagging behind even though most of their new shows have already started.

  18. julz January 31, 2012 at 11:26 am -

I really miss the old reporting style of the nightly ratings on this site..this doesn’t tell us much does it..yay for Oztam :(

  19. JB January 31, 2012 at 11:22 am -

1.25 million for Please Marry My Boy, what is wrong with you people?? Really does prove Seven can put on any crap and it’ll rate. Sadly i knew it would rate. Shame Australia, shame.

Good premier for MKR. Glad it’s back.

Very poor debut for Excess Baggage, and reading the comments on the review, those numbers will drop massively. When Celebrity Apprentice premiered, there were mix of good and bad, but all the comments are bad for this show. Biggest Loser should win the battle.

NCIS: LA moved to 8.30 Monday = fail. Should have left it following NCIS where it belongs. Ten’s still making stupid moves like last year.

  20. Jezza (the first original one) January 31, 2012 at 10:57 am -

Brain rotting tv dominates the ratings……oh no!!

  21. Cameron SA January 31, 2012 at 10:40 am -

So If Please Marry My Boy got 1.25 million how come Excess Baggage did not hit 2.5 million. PMMB looked as if it should have had half EB’s viewers. I enjoyed Big Bang Theory and despite no tennis, it did slighty worse than last week. I also thought MKR would be down as people seemed to be getting sick of cooking shows. I wonder where Nine’s cooking show is? They are smart on to have a prime time cooking show. They should have put on the Block instead of EB. Biggest Loser is better than EB and I stuck with 10 for most of the evening. NCIS LA and Hawaii 5 0 were good but it was very sad how NCIS LA had less than half of PMMB. Hawaii 5 0 did keep the NCIS LA audience which was a highlight. I felt PMMB was as bad as the Kyle and Jackie 0 show.

Good to see ABC News over 1 million. IMO it is the most trusted news bulletin and should really be the highest rating.

If people keep watching reality especially trashy ones, we are going to see more. 2012 looks to have more reality.

  22. bubba January 31, 2012 at 10:10 am -

any indication on what santo, sam & ed’s sports fever got?

  23. Michael January 31, 2012 at 10:07 am -

People actually watched Marry my Boy?
I’m with Matt. What is wrong with you all???

  24. Nicole January 31, 2012 at 10:05 am -

I wonder how sports fever did for its timeslot? I thought it was pretty funny. I liked its raw approach. EB figures would seem disapointing? I only saw the first half but it seemed an improvement on BL. PMMB was trash tv at its best. MKR seems to have a format of finding women with opinions and making them out to be a*seholes for voicing these opinions.
