No Dannii for Britain’s Got Talent

Dannii Minogue will not be a resident judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

The new-look panel for the UK show includes David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and the return of Simon Cowell himself.

Gone are judges Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.

Simon Cowell said of his decision to return, “I miss Britain and I miss the British public and I miss judging them.

“By coming back in 2012, it’s the year of the Olympics, it’s a big year for Britain, we are going to be in the world’s spotlight, and I want this show to be back in the world spotlight.”

The confirmation means the likelihood of Minogue’s availability for Australia’s Got Talent is improved. She already appears on promos for the 2012 season.

The Britain’s Got Talent prize fund has been boosted to £500,000 this series, with half of the amount coming from Cowell’s own pocket.

It’s a strange world in which the judges on talent shows often have even less talent than the contestants. I’m sure Britain does have talent, but just not on that show.

Love Alesha Dixon! Hopefully this provides a boost to her singing career also :)

Can’t wait to see David Walliams! He was hilarious on The Big Fat Quiz. Michael McIntyre was boring last year anyway.
