Returning: Bored to Death

The third and final season of HBO’s Bored to Death begins on Showcase in February, with Jason Schwartzman back as a fictional writer who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective.

Guest stars this season include Oliver Platt, Bebe Neuwirth, Olympia Dukakis, Mary Steenburgen, Stacy Keach, Sarah Silverman and Aussie Isla Fisher.

Based on the semi-autobiographical musings of eclectic author Jonathan Ames, HBO’s sweet and quirky Bored to Death tells the continuing story of a noir-fiction-obsessed writer (Jason Schwartzman) who is also an unlicensed private detective with services listed on Craigslist. Bored to Death also stars Ted Danson as stoner/mentor George Christopher and The Hangover’s Zach Galifianakis as Jonathan’s cartoonist pal Ray.
