Sky News: Australia Day

SKY News will celebrate Australia Day from First Edition at 5:30am through to a Sydney fireworks spectacular at Darling Harbour.

SKY News will celebrate Australia Day this Thursday starting at 5.30am with First Edition live from Sydney Harbour and ending in the evening with a Sydney fireworks spectacular at Darling Harbour.

First Edition‘s Celina Edmonds will be live on board the HMAS Choules flight deck throughout the morning with interviews, a “Colours” ceremony, performances by the Navy band and speaking to sailors about to set sail for the Middle East.

SKY News reporters will report live on city celebrations around the country. There will also be the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony from Canberra, and profiles of successful Australians in business and sport.

  1. Oh my God. Sky will be going out and creating their own content and not getting it off 9 or 7. Lucky its not a breaking story and they have had time to organize themselves. They do a really good job in Canberra but look like amateurs as soon as the networks show up on location.
