Nickelodeon has announced the nominees for the  25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards (US), to be hosted by Will Smith in Los Angeles.
From March 1, kids will be able to cast their votes in 20 total categories across all of Nickelodeon’s digital outlets, including 2012KCA.com, Nick Mobile app as well as Nickelodeon’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
For the first time ever Nick Australia will also produce a local award category to be broadcast in Australia as part of the U.S. show: Favourite Aussie Superstar.
The nominees are Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, Miranda Kerr and Cody Simpson.
The lead-in to the main event on Australian television will feature Nick Australia’s Luke and Wyatt, hosting Road to KCA pre-show links and their own Orange Carpet interviews.
Aussie kids have the chance of going to the KCAs in LA in a contest on the Nick Shack page: www.nickelodeon.com.au

should we take this as a sign that there wont be an Australian Kids Choice Awards this year?
seems odd to add an australian award in just for the aussie broadcast…
