ABC marks the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin

ABC will broadcast the commemorative service which marks the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin.

This Sunday marks the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin during World War 2, and ABC will broadcast the commemorative service live from Darwin.

The ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, the Governor General, Quentin Bryce and the Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott, as well as veterans and various members of the Australian Defence Force.
