Jennifer Hudson to perform Whitney tribute at Grammys

Jennifer Hudson will perform a medley of songs in a tribute to her idol Whitney Houston at the Grammys.

Singer Jennifer Hudson will perform a medley of songs in a tribute to her idol Whitney Houston at today’s Grammy Awards.

Executive producer, Ken Ehrlich, told CNN that the ceremony will include a tribute to Houston that would be “appropriate to Whitney’s memory.”

“I’ve asked Jennifer Hudson to come and we’re really at this moment talking about what she’s going to do.

“It’s not going to be a full-blown tribute,” Ehrlich said. “That’s too early and it’s too fresh at this moment. It’s going to be something respectful to Whitney’s memory. We’ve gone through the script and we’ve made a few changes It’s still going to be a great music show. I think, knowing Whitney as I did … she knew the importance of thrilling an audience and that’s what we still plan to do tomorrow.”

Chaka Khan has also been reported as performing in tribute.
