Any ratings information on the season return of Ringer? :)

  2. nik c February 21, 2012 at 10:09 pm -

@ Trev Thanks for your comments!
Self regulation doesn’t appear to work in any industry, eg mining, planning, television etc

  3. catherine February 21, 2012 at 5:57 pm -

Good to see Revenge still do well. Im becoming engrossed in it and will continue watching.

MKR will be interesting from now on. I think Thomas & Carla deserved there score last night. You cant serve up overcooked lamb after making the guests wait for 2 hours. I htink it will strategic from now on.

  4. trev February 21, 2012 at 2:16 pm -

@ nic c, I dont like your chances at achieving anything by lodging complaints about late starts. Years ago the commercial stations were regulated and were only allowed a maximum of 3 one minute commercials every 15 minutes, programs always started on time.
Today, even the alleged watchdog ACMA advises you to complain direct to the offending channel, which accomplishes diddly squat as self regulation is all the go and stations are guilty of blatant greed by showing up to and quite often more than 9 ads plus at least 2 station promos whenever they feel like doing so, usually every 7 minutes or so. No wonder shows run overtime and others start more than 15 minutes late on a regular basis.

The only solution would be for a watchdog with teeth to regulate the mongrels. Can’t see it happening though.

  5. nik c February 21, 2012 at 1:15 pm -

@ Belinda 8:45 is not early, wen MKR airs over 4 nights, they don’t need 75 minutes

  6. Secret Squirrel February 21, 2012 at 1:05 pm -

Person of Interest does big numbers in the US – it’s CBS’ #1 drama and the program ranks 15th overall. Last night’s two eps both pulled over 14 mil at 9:00pm in the states but hardly register over here because (yet again) of the show’s initial poor treatment by Nine.

It’s as if Nine’s programmers are wilfully refusing to learn lessons from past experiences.

  7. David Knox February 21, 2012 at 12:53 pm -

Yes, in my ratings News story. Anyone interested in Ratings should always be looking to see if there is a follow-up News story, as I do these pretty regularly. Thanks.

  8. victweety February 21, 2012 at 12:52 pm -

Any numbers for NCIS LA and Hawaii five o?

  9. Belinda February 21, 2012 at 12:51 pm -

Revenge, and most of channel 7’s shows, started early last night.

  10. nik c February 21, 2012 at 11:53 am -

Wow 10 shows above a million! Good to see Revenge stay high! Didn’t actually watch it live due to the over run of other shows!

Does anyone know where we can lodge official complaints about continually late starts (I know Revenge was advertised as 8:45, but most the time this isn’t done, or too late to set PVR’s etc) There have been too many last minute EPG cnages and I don;t have tiume to check them all especially if I am out!

  11. Jarred February 21, 2012 at 11:37 am -

What a great show Person of Interest is. The storylines have improved imensely on the already good storylines from last season. Too bad Nine are screwing around with the schedule of the show.

  12. tvtwitic February 21, 2012 at 9:46 am -

Alcatraz has held reasonably well from last week considering the strong opposition.

  13. Guy February 21, 2012 at 9:44 am -

Good to see Revenge hold 1.8m on its 2nd outing. Now it just needs to stabilise. This show is really good and i would hate to see it at 1m in a few weeks. MKR continues to thrive.

Alcatraz drops around the same and it is doing reasonably well. Nine would be hoping it doesn’t go the way it has in the US, ratings wise of course.

As for TEN well after 8pm its off the radar.
