8 Comments:

  1. The ABC has got to be disappointed with The Straits figures. The two strands – dark drama and black comedy have not woven seamlessly together at all. It feels overcooked and undercooked at the same time. Does that make any sense to anyone? At the end of the day we don’t much care about the power struggle at the heart of this series because we can’t relate to anyone – they’re not really people we feel we know – whereas we know (or know of) families like the Sopranos.

  2. Something dramatic needs to happen at Seven News Sydney. I am thinking / hoping a dual presenter. Chris Bath and Mark Ferguson.
David, What about Today and Sunrise + Mornings, The Morning Show and The Circle.

  3. @Bogues – I didn’t know that the special was coming up on Wed. ABC had been running shows from earlier series for a while and at first I thought it was another repeat. Luckily I did a reread and picked up that it was one of the 20th Anniversary specials.

I don’t recall seeing any advertising for it so I wouldn’t mind betting that a lot of other people didn’t know it was new either. I did see an ad for the replay last night on ABC2 but it was after Arrested Development which is watched by about 6 people.

  4. The Ab Fab replay pn ABC 2 didn’t make the digital only top 20. ABC must be really disappointed with those figures (including the first run on ABC1 on Wednesday).
