Desperate Spoiler revealed at Housewives trial

Warning! Major spoiler: Jury members gasped when they heard a huge Spoiler at the Sheridan / Cherry trial.

Major Spoiler:

There were gasps in the courtroom in the Desperate Housewives trial between Nicollette Sheridan and Marc Cherry / ABC when jurors heard a Spoiler about a major character who is about the be killed off.

Executive producer George Perkins revealed that James Denton’s character, Mike Delfino, husband to Teri Hatcher’s Susan, will meet his demise.

The episode airs in the US this Sunday.

His revelation was in answer to a question from Sheridan’s lawyer about whether any characters as important as Edie Britt have been killed off since she left.

Meanwhile, Cherry has now completed his testimony.

He said the slap in question was the demonstration of a physical action for her character to give to her husband.

“I said, ‘You know, just give him a pinch or a thing on the head,’ ” Cherry said. “I reached out and tapped her on the side of the head.”

He said, “She got this look on her face” and, after a few seconds of stunned silence, yelled at him, “You just hit me!”

James Denton also himself took the stand and acknowledged, “People get killed off so often.”

Asked if he was ever concerned about his character, Mike Delfino, being killed off, he quickly replied, “Always.”

  1. Unfortunately, with no thanks to a Nova 96.9 news bulletin yesterday afternoon, this major spoiler was blurted out without enough warning. Message to Nova. Simply saying “Spoiler Alert” before a so-called “entertainment news” item does not provide enough warning for people to prevent hearing major plotline spoilers. You suck, Nova.

  2. Plenty of characters have been written out of shows when their colleagues no longer wish to work with them. Happened to Shannon Doherty twice!

  3. Oh and sorry to stay to the point of this article – how dumb is this woman? she is going after a small (if any) payout and reducing her future acting chances considerably…im not sure if she has any but she inst helping them!

  4. I watched up till season 3 or 4. However, i am now hooked again. I think this season has alot of the first season factors that made me love the show. It has reduced its importance on second rate side stories and just stuck with the main girls. I do agree alot of my wanting to watch is that i know it is the end and it did start amazingly.

When they skipped years ahead it went downhill. They misjudged the characters and where they were. The story lines were so shallow after 3-4 eps it got boring (like the fat kids and the blind husband wtf?)

Anyway, i will remember this show for what it “Was” – exceptional!

  5. Awww I thought Mike was not long for this world during this week’s episode.

I agree with steven and wamdue about the difference between this and Edie’s exit.

  6. She acts like she’s the first high profile character to ever be killed off in a show.
Kate in NCIS was killed suddenly in season 2. Tara and Buffy’s mum both killed off in Buffy. Do i even have to mention Lost. Boone, Charlie, Shannon, Mr Eko, Libby, Ana Lucia…
Once Upon A Time kills off a major character in the first 10 episodes.

She needs to get over it.

  7. I would hardly saying that killing of Mike in the final season, is the same as when they killed off Eddie.

That said im not overly aware of the details of the case, so please dont read anything in what I said, im simply making the point that killing someone in the final season is different to an earlier season.

  8. Although we now now who’s about to be killed off in the show, I can’t help thinking there’s a bit of a difference in killing off a major character 1/2 way through the run of the show, and killing one around 4 or 5 episodes before it’s set to end.
