This week on Glee, Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell guest star as Rachel’s gay dads.

It’s also the episode that sees Mercedes, played by Amber Riley, singing  ‘I Will Always Love You,’ filmed before the death of Whitney Houston.

Next week Glee is out due to the swimming championships.

Love takes centre stage at McKinley High as Valentine’s Day approaches. While Mr. Schuester’s weekly assignment to find and perform the world’s greatest love songs has some of the Gleeks celebrating romance, for others, it serves as a disheartening reminder of what they don’t have.

When Rachel’s two dads learn of their daughter’s engagement to Finn, the seemingly supportive couple offers to throw a celebratory family dinner. but do they have ulterior motives? Meanwhile, Artie and Rory compete for Sugar’s affections, Sam gives Mercedes an ultimatum that forces her to look deep in her heart for answers, a new nonconformist student joins the ranks at McKinley and helps spread a message of acceptance (Joe Hart played by Glee Project winner, Samuel Larsen), and Kurt is surprised by the discovery of a secret admirer.

7:30pm Friday on TEN.

  1. I remembered it because it was the funniest joke of the episode. Rachel explains in voice-over that her dads’ sperm was mixed together before inseminating her mother so that nobody would ever know which is the biological father. Then they show the photo of her dads and one of them is white while the other is black.

  2. Still annoyed that Ten moved this to Friday, they deserve all the bad ratings they’re getting at the moment. Every night has been a failure for them apart from Sunday and Tuesday. TBYG and TGW have had their ratings literally split in half from too many timeslot changes and the same can be said for most of their other shows as well

  3. LOL so Ten will finally show the Valentine’s episode, a month after Valentine’s Day. Still it’s closer to the actual day than Ten’s Xmas episode showing.

This was a good episode, and yep the mid season finale is damn good too. Ten would be stupid to hold eps back. But then again Ten are stupid.

  4. Given the next episode is a cliffhanger before the spring hiatus in the US, Ten may hold it over until the season resumes in the US on April 10, so it can show the remaining episodes with no more breaks.
