US drama series Justified, which began in Australia last week, has been renewed by FX for a fourth season.

The series starring Timothy Olyphant a Deputy US Marshall who sometimes goes beyond the law, will have 13 more episodes.

Justified is one of television’s best series and this season has reinforced that excellence,” Nick Grad, executive vice president of original programming at FX, said in a statement.

“(Creator) Graham Yost and his writing team continue to deliver compelling material and richly drawn characters brought to life by the brilliance of Timothy Olyphant and our terrific ensemble cast … We look forward to many more seasons to come.”

The show, developed by Yost, is based on Elmore Leonard’s character from “Fire in the Hole.”

Justified airs Mondays at 8:30pm on FX.

Brilliant show, Olyphant is awesome, very reminiscent of a young Clint Eastwood.
