I don’t know about you, but I’m really enjoying Smash, the drama that goes behind the scenes of a Broadway production.

The combination of songs, the performances, the business side of assembling a musical and the homage to Marilyn are really working for me, but I fear I may be in the minority.

From this week the show premieres in a new timeslot, 9:30pm Mondays on W.

It will still play at 7:30pm Tuesdays where it has been until now, but as a replay.

Tune in Monday if you want to catch the first-run episode.

  1. I agree David..I love every episode..Thr truth is however stretched a bit …no musical would be cast without it being written ,including the book and the musical songs and having the financial backers(producers) locked in

  3. Loving it as well,along with The Walking Dead and Hell on Wheels.
    With new Game of Thrones,True Blood and Dexter coming soon Foxtel is really leaving FTA for dead.

  4. I am really enjoying Smash too. I was a little concerned that it might be a little bit too over the top as far as the number and context of musical numbers are concerned, but the show is very well balanced.

  5. I’m enjoying it as well, the acting is great and you don’t get too much of the ‘musical’ just the right amount. Just a shame FTA didn’t pick this one up, give them a year and it might turn up in the holidays like The Glades on TEN?

    FYI there during an interview with Katharine McPhee on The View recently she said there is talk of the Marilyn musical being turned into a real musical on Broadway at some point in the future.
