Tony Bennett, Delta Goodrem for the Logies.

More performers join the Logie line-up.

Tony Bennett and Delta Goodrem will both be performing at the TV Week Logie Awards.

Goodrem, who is a judge on Nine’s new series The Voice, will perform her new single “Sitting On Top Of The World.” She has previously won a Most Popular New Talent Award as well as a Gold Logie nominee.

Securing legendary crooner Tony Bennett is a coup for the awards, during his Australian tour.

They join previously-announced performers boyband One Direction and vocalist Seal.

Red-Carpet hosts will be Jules Lund, Sonia Kruger, Livinia Nixon and Shane Crawford.

So far no host is yet announced.

  1. @Jennome Because Nine want people to watch and, like it or not, there aren’t many Australian acts who will attract viewers right now. One Direction are a huge coup for them, but I’m not sure what the Tony Bennett demo will add. All deals are different, but there’s every chance the acts will perform for free in exchange for the TV exposure. The all have new albums and/or tours to promote and it’s one of the highest rating shows of the year.

  2. Here we go again, more overseas performers at the Logies. Why would they pay (probably) a motza for Tony Bennett, who’s as old as Methusla when there are thousands of Australian entertainers who would jump at the gig.

They just don’t get it, do they.

  3. When Shane Crawford is doing the Logies red carpet you just know its cross promotional stuff. What would he know about fashion? He is an ex footballer for gods sake.

The Logies have become a “Promote Channel Nine” gig instead of celebrating the industry. Personally this should be non-biased but we have Delta performing and will no doubt cross promote her show and well i think its wrong. Its not about the industry anymore its about how big Nine’s ego is. Time that this be rotated among the 3 big guns but that will never happen while the TV Week is in bed with Nine.
