Bumped: The Amazing Race
Seven looks like it is getting ready for the other Amazing Race...

There’s no airing of The Amazing Race this week due to CBS’s broadcast of the Academy of Country Music Awards (yawn!), but the show resumes here on Seven next week, April 11.
However from Wednesday April 18, it moves to 10:30pm.
Could Seven be launching The Amazing Race Australia before it?

….and they bumped is again last wekk for ….wait for it….. a titanic movie (and it wasn’t even the anniversary of the sinking). So thats 2 epsiodes in 4 weeks – way to keep your viewers 7. have you picked up some employees from 9 recently?
It’s being replaced by a double ep of criminal minds.
Bloody hell 7.
Hey, at least it’s still there being fastracked… where’s Survivor Nine?
It doesn’t bother me that Seven have moved it to 10.30pm because I record the show on my PVR anyway. But I think every American season in the future should be on 7mate, say on a Wednesday or Thursday night, either at 7.30 or 8.30pm & keep it at the same timeslot for the whole season.
Doesn’t that depend what it’s been bumped for? Any clues David?
I know the current series of TAR has not been rating well (maybe due to lack of promotion), but Seven should let it finish before starting the Australian version. Showing both versions on the same week or even the same night will only cause confusion.
Of course I am purely speculating about back to back screenings.
The show wasn’t rating well at all, so this is not a surprise.
The Amazing Race Australia was a good series last year but I got a little annoyed they drew it out for so long, they had more 90 minute episodes than 60 minute episodes, and because it aired at 8:30 Mondays last year, these often wouldn’t finish until 10pm that night which sucks for those who have early morning uni classes/work
Not happy. I love The Amazing Race. I really don’t want to watch two different series back to back. I would of preferred it if they show the Aussie one after the American has finished.
Just PVR it as it has been getting later and later each week. I agree it should be on 7mate in HD but it still gets reasonable ratings if they treat it OK on their primary channel.
If they think it ruins their ‘ Australian brand’ then they will ditch it to 7mate quick smart. But it is too good for that to happen.
At least it is fast tracked and that is more than we can say for nine’s treatment of Survivor.
Doesn’t bother me. I watched the 1st ep on Seven and that was it. They had the trashy Please Marry My Boy go 20 mins overtime meaning i had to sit through that shit waiting for the Amazing Race. Haven’t watched it on Seven since..
So so so sick of 7 and their lack of care for viewers. Why can’t they just leave it as is?
This show continuously gets bumped later and later as each season progresses. Maybe they should move it over to 7mate, where it got a primetime (7:30 Sunday IIRC) viewing the whole season, and it is in HD.
That’s it 7, wont be watching it anymore, you dont really care about viewers. So fed up with the moving of shows I start watching.
seven should have the decency to finish this US season, which, BTW is great b4 starting the AUS season. show some respect seven, please
Not likely for two reasons. They still haven’t announced the teams, and given TAR Australia was Seven’s flagship Australian show last year, they aren’t moving it out of an early timeslot into 9:30.
