Chaz Bono, profiled in Becoming Chaz, dominated the winners at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards and was duly presented with a trophy from his mother, Cher.
The awards which recognise GLBTI visibility in US media were held in LA on the weekend.
Chaz’s transition from female to male was the subject of his self-titled reality series, and he also performed in the US version of Dancing with the Stars.
Modern Family won the Comedy series award.
GLAAD hands out its awards across several events and following on from a ceremony in New York in March it will have its final ceremony in San Francisco in June.
