The 42nd Season of Sesame Street premieres on Tuesday on ABC2, featuring more celebrities than ever before, including Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts plus late night US hosts and cast members from Modern Family, Community and The Big Bang Theory.

Subjects this season include science, technology, engineering and maths, plus more original songs, street stories, a brand new segment called Murray’s Science Experiments and Grover is back with new Super Grover 2.0.

This season guests include Academy Award-winning and nominated actors Robin Williams, Amy Adams, and Mark Ruffalo; Golden Globe Award-winning and nominated actors Sofia Vergara, Emma Stone, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Mila Kunis; Emmy Award-winning and nominated actors Seth Rogen, and Andy Samberg; X-Men’s James Marsden; Gone Baby Gone’s Michelle Monaghan; Bored to Death’s Jason Schwartzman; New Orleans Saints Quarterback and NFL Superstar Drew Brees; The Harlem Globetrotters; NBA All-Stars and New York Knicks players Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire; Grammy Award-winning and nominated musicians Juanes, Elvis Costello and Bruno Mars; rapper Jay Sean; late night hosts Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, George Lopez and Conan O’Brien; The Daily Show’s Jason Jones; The Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki; The Office’s John Krasinski; Community’s Joel McHale and Ken Jeong; Modern Family’s Rico Rodriguez; and Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos.

  1. This is hardly new, the season started over 6 months ago in the US, why can’t the ABC fast track the kids shows like this?
