Seven won Total People but Nine won the demos in a non-ratings calm before the storm.

For the first time this year Nine won the weekly demos ahead of Seven.
But it was another win for Seven in Total People in the second week of Easter non-ratings.
Most commercial networks were dominated by reruns and “filler” content last week. It was the calm before the storm.
Seven Network won with 28.5% over Nine 25.5%, TEN 20.3%, ABC 19.1% and SBS 6.7%.
Seven’s primary channel was 20.7% then Nine 18.6%, ABC1 14.5%, TEN 13.9%, SBS ONE 5.6%.
Seven News was the week’s top show with 1.28m viewers. New Tricks on ABC1 last night pulled a bigger audience than anything Nine or TEN averaged all week, with 1.2m viewers. Nine News was best for Nine with 1.13m, The Biggest Loser topped TEN with 1.01m and Who Do You Think You Are? on SBS ONE was 519,000.
7TWO was 4.2% followed by ELEVEN and GO! both on 3.8%, 7mate 3.5%, Gem 3.0%, ABC2 2.9%, ONE 2.5%, SBS TWO 1.1%, ABC News 24 0.9%, ABC3 0.7%.
Nine won 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 demos.
Seven ranked first in all cities except Sydney which fell to Nine.
Seven won Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Nine took out Monday and Wednesday. TEN bettered Nine on Tuesday and ABC beat TEN on Monday, Friday and Saturday.
Official ratings resume from today with heavy-duty artillery firing from all corners.

It’s a good thing that dude at Channel 7 (Leckie? Meakin? I forget) doesn’t believe in demos.
I guess that’s the problem with big block buster movies like Avatar, everyone has seen either at the cinema, on DVD or PayTV by the time it hits FTA there are not many new viewers left.
That said I’m still amazed no one has shown the James Cameron Titanic in the last week on FTA.
Just when Nine’s ratings are turning around they are starting to loose some of their top shows, they have just 5 eps of TBBT to air before it goes into 24/7 reruns until September and not much else is working for them series wise at the moment.
@James
I agree with Guy. Nine will improve but will not have what it takes to win this week.
lol, i like the picture of a calm ocean
Hey David, what is your prediction for tonight? Who do you think will win?
Nine because their content keeps the audience watching until very late. It’s about primetime share after all. I feel everyone has seen Avatar, and Seven will do better earlier rather than later. Red Carpet will be #1 if it is separately coded, otherwise I think The Voice will.
@Guy
We will see 🙂
Agree with MillerT1.
@James
I will believe it when i see it. Seven are still very strong. The past couple of weeks has been a non-ratings period. I am tipping Seven to take this week by around 2-3%. Nine will improve no doubt but there are a number of factors here. The Voice could tank for all we know. I am tipping a big dip in Celebrity Apprentice. Last year Nine botched the figures with at times 3 different ratings for one episode. That was wrong wrong wrong.
With Dancing and Talent skewing older, Nine will almost certainly take this week’s demos.
Things are coming up Channel9!
