Stars turn to Story Time

Next week kid’s channel CBeebies launches its CBeebies Story Time interstitials, in which celebrities read popular Australian books for young children.
There are 24 x 5 minute episodes and next week it begins with Natalie Bassingthwaighte on Monday at 7:15pm. Next week’s guests to follow are Claudia Karvan, Michael Caton, Luke Nguyen and Lynne McGranger.
Nguyen, who appears on Thursday said, “I wanted to take part because I’m a big kid myself, I really enjoy reading children’s stories to children, I really think it’s fun, and I love imagination and showing and seeing the facial expressions on children.
“I really enjoy reading story books to children because it never happened to me as a kid. We come were boat immigrants and my family worked a lot so I never got the chance to be read a story, so when I read it to someone or read it to myself, I really find it fantastic and enjoyable.”
Also appearing are Shane Jacobson, Yumi Stynes, Graeme Base, Gina Jeffreys, Toni Pearen, Kate Langbroek, Adam Brand, Liz Ellis and Glenn Wheeler.
