A&E has cancelled its observational series Dog the Bounty Hunter.
The series, which wrapped up its eighth season in the US last week, featured Duane “Dog” Chapman and his family tracking down criminals in Hawaii and his home state of Colorado.
Chapman came to prominence on Take This Job, which featured unusual professions.
In late 2007, production on the show was put on hold when Chapman’s son, Tucker, sold a tape to the National Enquirer with audio of Chapman repeatedly using the ‘n’-word. He later apologised on Larry King Live.
