Bingle, naked, bungled, murky…. yawn.

Lara Bingle, Darryn Lyons, A Current Affair and Eyeworks get all worked up over nekkid shots.

This must qualify as murky story of the month, but here is a sequence of events as best one can deduce, involving Lara Bingle, paparazzo Darryn Lyons, A Current Affair and production company Eyeworks.

In the middle of it all are naked photos of Bingle, presumably unauthorised, being traded for public consumption.

The question is whether it’s all for publicity, ratings, money or all of the above.

Photos of a naked Bingle were snapped at a Bondi penthouse balcony which has been rented for the upcoming TEN series Being Lara Bingle.

Bingle has since said she was inside her apartment pulling the curtains across her bedroom when she was snapped.

Darryn Lyons BIG Agency sent a proofsheet to Bingle’s manager Hermione Underwood.

A Current Affair pixellates a proofsheet and broadcasts the pics on Tuesday night.

Lyons sends ACA a bill for $110,000 for screening the shots unauthorised.

Reporter Tom Steinfort tweets: “Bingle update: D Lyons has asked us for $110k & producers from her reality show asked for a DVD of my story so they can film her watching it.”

ACA executive producer Grant Williams refuses to pay.

“My job is to expose grubs who think it is all right to take photos of naked women through bedroom windows, not to do business with them,” Williams said.

“Darryn is absolutely kidding himself.

“On the basis they were naked photos, all bets are off.”

Producers Eyeworks deny the whole thing was a stunt.

“Eyeworks did not stage this and did not ask Lara to stage anything,” John McAvoy said. He did not respond when asked, if he requested a copy of the ACA episode.

“It has certainly caused a stir and we expect to see more as we go through the filming process, which is why we wanted to produce this series in the first place.”

TEN says, “This particular show is totally organic – unscripted and unpredictable. She is a charmingly interesting character and that’s why we have commissioned the show. Drama seems to happen naturally around Lara.”

Aren’t we lucky?

  1. Yawn! A quick Google search will show that this is the 3rd time she’s got the ‘money makers’ out on camera, so not sure why they’d think another go around would work but evidently shows like ACA are still dumb enough to fall for it

  2. I don’t know who Lara Bingle is…I presume some sort of model. But going off that picture in this story, I don’t find her attractive at all

  3. Pay that one, Kenny. JB is almost correct but neglected to mention that some 14-year old boys would prob be interested too.

“Drama seems to happen naturally around Lara.”
That line actually made me feel like puking up my breakfast. If Ten thinks bumping quality shows like Nurse Jackie, pissing off F1 fans, and commissioning unmitigated garbage such as this is going to save them, they are in for a rude shock. What next, a series based around that St Kilda schoolgirl?

  4. You forgot to mention that mcEvoy just happens to be a former EP of A Current Affair. Pretty cosy really. Does ACA and Eyeworks really think we believe any of this?
David, you should ask them some pointed questions about this work of fiction.

BTW – McEvoy presided over ACA’s descent to Australia’s #2 tabloid show back in 2004 and 9 promoted him to the 3rd floor for that effort.

  5. I agree totally with JB – who could care less about Lara Bingle, whose only claim to fame is saying the word ‘bloody’ on a tourist ad.

As for people being filmed naked next to windows, any idiot would know to pull the curtains if you didn’t want to be seen.

What a crock. And is that photo of Lara at the top of this item meant to be sexy? (howls with laughter).

  6. Lara Bingle is the only person who wants to watch a Lara Bingle reality show.

This story just shows how pathetic Lara Bingle, Channel Ten, and ACA all are.

  7. It’s all a big publicity stunt.Lyons and Bingle are business partners and friends,so why would he be shopping nude photos of her unless she delibratley did it for publicity ?

  8. “This particular show is totally organic”.
“Organic – Not produced with use of chemical fertilisers”
    Right. Just real bullsh*t.
    Double yawn.

  9. Bit rich of Grant Williams to call Darryn Lyons a grub when he decided to broadcast the proofsheet on national television. Pot calling the kettle black.
