Kerri-Anne exits Dancing with the Stars

By David Knox on May 21, 2012 / Filed Under News, Top Stories 13

A Current Affair was wrong.

“Tonight we can reveal Kerri-Anne Kennerley will win Dancing with the Stars,” said ACA‘s Ben McCormack told viewers earlier this month.

Last night she was eliminated from the show.

“At least Channel Nine was right!” she said ironically. “Accuracy is always in television.”

Kennerley had been tipped to win the show given she received the lion’s share of publicity. But last night she failed to topple Jessica Watson in the final elimination stage.

The former Nine star will next turn her attention to fronting a new project for Seven, based on an international format.

Meanwhile Danielle Spencer scored perfect 10s from all three judges last night, but it was co-host Mel B who attracted plenty of comment online for her skin-tight dress.

Melissa Hoyer:
Nipple alert. #dwts . . . Mel B . . .

Marls D:
Mel B….. Cover up those nipple$ babe

Peter Ford:
Mel B…Gets my gold logie…er..gold nipple award. Love the “Barbarella” outfit!

Daniel MacPherson:
i fear my co-hosts right nipple is trending globally…..

tracy grimshaw:
In a cab on way home to watch #60mins. Inordinate number of tweets about nipples in my feed. Am I missing something? Nipples are not new.

….I guess we won’t hear anything about ACA revealing nipples would win Dancing with The Stars.

Ben McCormack got a serve on Media Watch last night for this. He even used exactly the same line – “Channel Seven is playing *you* for a fool” [his emphasis] – this time about the stingy prices on Price is Right (altho’, from what people have said, that would at least appear to have some truth to it).

i guess channel nine that grubby program ACA have egg on their face now they said the show was rigged and KAK would win it . there you go ACA you were wrong again.

I sincerely hope that KAK’s new project on Seven thrashes Nine in the ratings. Nine were only to happy to sideline KAK, and they were even more eager to trash her when she went to Seven.

Love how even the slightest bit of controversy brings out the conspiracy theorists. Yep, Rach, I’m pretty sure that KAK was so keen to stick it to her former employer that she agreed to bow out, and Seven were happy to manipulate the voting for her (just don’t tell the auditors and they won’t find out).

@Rutzie – that is old news (but I’m assuming you knew that already). :-)

So, 10 points for Danielle Spencer and two for Mel B.

Ummm Ben, it’s right of screen – but that’s her left nipple. What will ACA say now about their taunting of Ch 7 and KAK as a definite winner?

Danielle Spencer deserved 10′s just for those purple pants.

Today I can reveal that Ben McCormack’s credibility as a journalist no longer exists.

Not since Underbelly: A Tale of Two Titties has there been such tit for tat.

People actually thought she would win? What a joke :S

I thought she said “at least 9 wasn’t right” which makes more sense.

wonder what ACA will have to say, they got it so so wrong.

mm, maybe KAK was going to win it, but when C9(her former employer) made that statement, that did a deal with her to stick it up C9!
