Lisa Simpson goes Gaga

By David Knox on May 24, 2012 / Filed Under Programming 9

Next Wednesday night ELEVEN screens The Simpsons episode with guest star Lady Gaga.

“Lisa Goes Gaga”
Lisa tries to look more popular by writing good things about herself on the school blog, but the plan backfires and she’s voted the most unpopular kid at school. In the usual twists of Simpsons fate, Lady Gaga crosses paths with Lisa, and tries to cheer her up by teaching her how important it is to be yourself.

7.30pm Wednesday May 30th on ELEVEN.

I didn’t see the show but what a Joke.I can understand If this had been shown in the Debbie Gibson/Tiffany Era of Bubble Gum Pop which ironically was when the Simpsons Debut in the Eighties but for 2012 standards using a worse version of those two is pathetic.

It is such a shame now that there have been more seasons of terrible Simpsons than the classics.

Strangely there have been a small handfull of episodes this season that have been quite good, but there is just still way too much rubbish

(I haven’t seen this one, will watch on Wednesday with an open mind though)

Nevertheless I am glad it has been renewed another 2 years, hopefully they’ll be able to redeem themselves for the finale

Even by current Simpsons standards it was one of the worst episodes! Only good thing was lisa effectively telling Gaga she’s basically a hack (someone had to) and Homer singing his own Poker Face lyrics (which is not exactly something new).

The Simpsons has jumped the shark so many times it’s not funny. Seriously, take this pathetic animated junk off the air (and I loved the early seasons).

This episode was the straw that broke the camels back for me … I’ve put up with below-average episodes for a season or two, but this episode was just awful. Never thought I’d ever see the day where The Simpsons would be off my must-see list.

it was nothing special, but I might have enjoyed it more if I liked Lady Gaga. Your mileage may vary

Thanks ELEVEN for fastracking Simpsons and Cleveland Show! Hope you do the same for Futurama this year!

Does anyone know when new episodes of American Dad! will return to 7mate?

Allen Gregory has been cancelled in America, I never really got into it anyway.
Bob’s Burgers has been renewed for a third season, and that isn’t too bad a show.
The Simpsons was been renewed for 2 more seasons in the US, but still no word on the future of The Cleveland Show.
Pretty clogged animation line-up of FOX in the US even after the cancellation of Allen Gregory.

It wil be fascinating to see Lady Gaga animated. I wonder why Madonna hasn’t yet guest voiced for the Simpsons? I thought this season has been fairly enjoyable. “Moe Goes from Rags to Riches” has been the weakest episode. The best episodes have been “Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts”, “Replaceable You”, “At Long Last Leave”, “How I Wet Your Mother” and “A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again”. I thought “Treehouse of Horror XXII” was the most strangest.
As both new Simpsons and the Cleveland Show are coming to the end it will be interesting as to what replaces them. Allen Gregory perhaps?
