FOX8 will fast-track season two of Falling Skies to Australian screens, just 4 days after it airs in the US (or 3 when adjusted for the dateline).
It will premieres on Thursday June 21 at 8.30pm. The show was Foxtel’s highest rating drama for 2011.
The wait is nearly over for millions of viewers across the globe who followed the extraordinary story about life and survival in the wake of a catastrophic alien invasion.
Series star Noah Wyle returns as college professor Tom Mason, who became an unlikely resistance leader at the end of season one by deciding to go with the aliens hoping to free his son Ben and get a better picture of the aliens’ overall plan.
Falling Skies also stars Moon Bloodgood as Dr. Ann Glass, Will Patton as Colonel Weaver, and Drew Roy as Hal Mason – Tom Masons’ eldest son.
Steven Spielberg returns as executive producer of Falling Skies distributed by Turner International.

Glad to see it back.
@nrc_02….i actually prefer shorter seasons…more killer and less filler
Falling Skies. More like Falling Asleep.
ahahahahahahahhaa
.
I must have missed the part where this was worthy of a second season.
It’s a solid alternative to The Walking Dead. Definitely recommended, but it starts out slow in eps 1 and 2.
omg yes, I got completely hooked towards the end of season 1, I l would prefer a longer season 2 though, these short seasons and hiatus’ are a killer.
Good news. The show is a little slow in places but it is based on an intriguing concept and the characters are well done. Falling Skies is a nice change from all the cop and legal shows that dominate the market, along with the tsunami of so-called reality shows that have flooded our screens.
I’m eager to see the resolution to last season’s cliffhanger.
