Returning: Fringe

At long last Fringe returns to Australian TV with its fourth season.

At long last Fringe returns to Australian TV with new episodes.

Season Four will begin on GO! by the end of the month. It premiered in the US in September.

The fourth season begins one week after Peter vanished, and as the two universes maintain an uneasy alliance, Lincoln Lee helps the Fringe team on a shape-shifting investigation that hits close to home.

It returns 10:30pm Monday May 28, following Spartacus: Vengeance.

Chuck follows at 11:30pm.

  1. I waited so long for Series 4 Fringe ….. coped with the 10:30 timeslot ….. but as a worker was devastated when it was flicked to obscure ‘am’ screening times and now not able to watch it at all. Why this series ……..whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  2. I just watched the first episode of series 4. Fantastic. I think this is going to be a great series. I like the new FBI guy, it will be a good way of recapping the series through a new character. They are so sneaky in that alternative universe – giant implanted ticks, who would have guessed.

  3. I will wait for 111 HITS to show it in double episodes with no editing =). If only 111 HITS had a HD feed for all the special effects to really be shown for all their worth…

  4. Too late for both of them (Chuck included), sorry GO!

S4 of Fringe is great, with a fantastic final, I love that….. sorry can’t spoil those who have waited over 8 moths for it’s return.

  5. @A, you are going to looove Fringe S4. It’s full of fantastic ‘Fringey’ twists & turns – even more than previous seasons.
Maybe a modest investment in a recoding device would set your worries free – and even allow extra viewings?

  6. Im fine with the 10:30 timeslot, lets face it.. we all know Sci-Fi doesn’t rate so putting it on at 8:30 or even 9:30 won’t rate anyway, as would 10:30 so it makes sense it would be put there. RJ Burger starts this week and also at 10:30 so lower rated shows belong in a slot like that.

and GO love their movies so much and is pretty much the home of movies every day on free to air so having shows on at 10:30 and movies as well as Top Gear/Sitcom repeats at 8:30 – 10:30 makes sense too.

  7. I’ve thought about it and I want to add one thing I like about 10.30pm is it won’t be edited because of its classification. I think the thing that would make me more relaxed about Monday is if it’s repeated preferably sometime between 12am-2am. I like Wednesday night or really Thursday morning. That way I’d know if I missed the start I could watch it again. Also if I really love an episode or it had a lot of information I could see it again to catch the nuances. Yeah I love it that much. I’d really appreciate it if there was a back-up time. Including for if there was a power outage. It really would give piece of mind.

    @ Phoenix

I’ll admit I gave up recording years ago.

  8. Way too late. By nine months and by an hour. They could have at least put it on Wednesday at 9:30 and tried to appease the 23 Fringe fans who haven’t yet seen it, instead of slapping them in the face.

I can’t believe that there were nine months of repeats that the Go programmers preferred to show instead of first-run drama. Anyone want to take a bet on this ending up starting after midnight?

  9. Finally! Fringe is one of the best shows on TV and it’ll be good to have it back.

@A — If you’re worried about the ABC running late, can’t you just tape or record Fringe?

  10. My initial thought with seeing this article listed was – yes!!! I’ll admit I’m happy it’s paired with Chuck too. Very happy. It’s the 10.30pm Monday that leaves me puzzled. I’ll admit it’s also the night the ABC is often late. So it makes me fear clashes. Also I was looking forward to it on Wednesday. So I don’t know how I feel. I guess not as happy at the start and a bit fearful. But I guess I’ll either like it or hate it. I need more time to think about it.

Thank you David and any other responsible for the news. I’m very happy to know there is some. 🙂
