Wonder why American Pickers is down by about 100k viewers this week. It usually pulls close to 300k.
TAR was 257,000.
9 News and ACA did well in Perth both over 120k in that city which is good to see. Digital channels were closer to 7′s in previous weeks but primary channel gap is wider. Nine should use the 9:30pm timeslot to show new shows and not repeats. State of Origin will give 7 a good beating on it’s strongest night of the week.
With 7 being strongest on Wednesday it is disappointing to see that they are constantly changing their schedule. 8:30pm has seen Titanic then Bones then Revenge and next week back to Bones however it will be scheduled at 9pm. Even new Castle as a one off is not a good thing for fans of these shows. Nine and Ten do move shows around like this and annoy people and Seven is doing it when they don’t need to. 7 will not be able to win the week though.
Offspring was excellent last night, pity so few watched it.
Obviously that WAG nation show on Arena is not appealing to many..
They’ve put Bones in the 8:30 Wednesday slot for next week, so it looks like they’ll run through the eps sooner rather than later
Good on Revenge. 1.33m on a Wednesday 8:30pm timeslot is huge all things considered. I would like to think there is another 250-300k people recording it too in timeshifted ratings. So its not a bad figure.
Castle though is such a shame. The show is brilliant this season and less than 700k is a bit disappointing. Mind you there wasn’t ads on to say Castle Wednesday 9:30pm. I saw one or two at the most. They advertised Revenge so people knew but they didn’t advertise Castle. I just wish Seven would hurry up and put Criminal Minds in the 9pm timeslot instead. However my theory with Bones is there is a handful of episodes remaining and twice a week will burn them off quickly opening the 8:30pm Sunday slot for Downton Abbey.
Well looks like Revenge fans will follow the show to Wednesday, but the same can’t be said about Castle viewers. Even when Seven tried Castle on Tuesdays it wasn’t as strong as it is following Bones on a Sunday.
Ten are on the up. Fourth on Tuesday, third on Wednesday – if they keep this up they could be on top by the end of the week!
Revenge was good last night, Cant stop watching!
I watched Randling (missed the start ) and Laid. I hope Laid is 6 episode or less as I usually can’t stand modern scripted comedies for more than that.
I was going to watch Castle but since its starting time was 9.50pm I watched SBS instead as they managed to be on time. It was something I didn’t regret at all as it was a series about the influence of the West and it’s possible decline in the future by Niall Ferguson. The particular episode was about how blue jeans as well as rock and roll won the Cold War. Plus a lot more.
He even snuck in the information that the Japanese tried the sneak attack before Pearl Harbor but that time on the Russians.
Revenge did well considering the 30 minute late start from the advertised time and night switcheroo!
